I can't remember the last time I went up Sydney Tower, formerly AMP tower, formerly Centrepoint Tower (and the name I still know it by) - but I suspect it mightn't have been in this millennium. Today, though, it was absolutely gorgeous, and we could see out west all the way to the Blue Mountains of the Great Dividing Range (I love the literalism of Aussie names.) In the foreground lies Darling Harbour, and, if you look closely enough, the familiar clothes-pin hinges of the Anzac Bridge further back from that.
Anyway, the best thing about the Sydney Tower observation deck is that it's round - hence, you can get the most out of your visit by just going around and around as I did - just a few more windows, just a few more windows... until you've spent the better part of your morning up there. I'd also recommend getting some coffee and cake on the deck below, where you can keep soaking up the view with a nice cuppa.
This is My World Tuesday.
Beautiful view. Although am scared of heights, I love towers with 360 degree views. I agree with you. I cam spend hours just soaking up the view and with a nice cuppa... perfect!
