I'm not entirely sure why she was wearing this sign, but I have a feeling it was somewhat due to a misguided dare. Anyway, it made a nice pic.

Sometimes I'm a terrible conversationalist... something catches my eye over lunch and then I can't help but take a picture.

Tuesday, 13th July, 2010 - My World Tuesday

I know, this is not the greatest shot in the world, but I could hear a librarian trundling along with her trolley behind me. (It was the University of Sydney library, after all.) Not only that, but I could imagine her being roundly unimpressed with the shenanigans that ensued when my friend here discovered a hard hat hanging, somewhat incongruously, on a peg. I think he's mid-YMCA move here. Despite the dodgy dance moves, though, he's still a good, ahem, sort :D

Nevertheless, this is My World Tuesday for this week. Click here for more glimpses around our crazy planet.

Lunch with my grandparents, then off for a spot of shopping. Grocery shopping. This bunch of alien blooms caught my eye.

What in the world is going on here? Looks interesting, but for the life of me I can't figure out what they're filming for.

Warning: viewers may be distressed by this photo.

Oh, what am I saying - it distresses me!

Yes, that's my foot being nibbled off... I took the plunge and tried out the Garra Fish Spa.

The verdict? Well, not quite the horror house I expected it to be - but it took all the willpower I had (and some I didn't) to keep my feet in for the first five or ten minutes. Then it was quite bearable, really, and I quite forgot what I was submitting myself to until an especially big one bit...

I can't put this under any category, exactly, except that I was at Chiang Mai International Airport, Black Canyon, and this caught my eye.

Fish Spa! Brave Helen puts her hand to the test.

Q. What are all these people doing?

A. They're looking at a solar eclipse, through the wonders of modern science that are pinhole cameras and metalwork masks.

Hehee! The voyeur in me likes this one. Taken looking through the keyhole of our apartment in the Hunter Valley. Thank you, April, Ieng & Andrew for a great weekend away :)

This bizarre little shot comes from the upper storey of Zilver, where we were celebrating my cousin Andrea's graduation.

You know what? I find this box of tissues hilarious. Who has these jobs? Who gets to write poetry on a box of tissues? And what on earth do "rosy sun-kissed cheeks" have to do with my premature winter cold?

It also bothers me that
a) "natures" is lacking an apostrophe, and
b) it is two syllables askew of being a proper haiku.

I find that extremely irritating.

Sniff.

Not only does this potato appear to have a face, it also has a tooth coming.

Anthropomorphism central.

(Yes, I do know I'm strange!)
