I'm no concert maven, but Coldplay was pretty darn impressive. They certainly blew the sound right out of my car CD player league.

Two snatches of memory:
1) Chris Martin after a big song reminds me of Terence after a big climb. He lies on the ground for a well-earned rest.
2) They dedicated a song to the man they'd overheard that morning saying he was going to see Coldplay that night, who were "all right, but I prefer U2."

Woke up at an unearthly hour to go and see Dawn Chorus at Bondi Beach as part of the Sydney Festival... with about five thousand other crazy people, as it happens. But we were rewarded with sublime music, the serenity of the lapping waves and the hazy lazy light lifting up the day... oh, and this superb sand-sculpture of the wonders of the world: how many can you see?
