Chinese New Year, Australian style... a family banquets under the watchful eye of the victorious Jelena Dokic, through to the quarter-finals of the Australian Open. Seems like Jelena has been embraced by the Australian public again - a fickle, but forgiving, bunch.

My friends Angela & Paul treated me to a delicious dinner of home-made pie, a lovely greens salad with homegrown cherry tomatoes - I love rocket and parmesan! - and to finish, a generously proportioned, delightfully wobbly vanilla bean pannacotta. Mmm...
Over talk of books, books and more books, this little (or not so little) lemon in my drink caught my eye.
