Skywatch Friday #2
Why does it always seem to rain on a Friday?

Never mind:
1) it gets the rain out of the way for the weekend
2) it splashed up a nice rainbow for me as I arrived at work this morning.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the way this turned out. I had just stepped out of the car to get all my paraphenalia from the back seat, when I turned and saw this beautiful rainbow arching across the oval. Juggling my umbrella, handbag & favourite Montague/Capulet bag packed with marking, I'm amazed this turned out as well as it did.

Marking! AAAAAgh! I have too much these school holidays! I just know I'm going to procrastinate and then do a mad rush right at the end!

  6. Great rainbow capture. I saw one after a sunshower yesterday outside my office window. Unfortunatley I couldn't leave work to take a picture of it.

  8. Thank you for the lovely comments.

Blue Eyed Tango: Yours are just as lovely... and you have a farm!!

Linnea W: Your shot was sublime. Loved the colours.

Violet: I agree! Did I also mention that, just as I did my juggling act, a school bus pulled up and I had an audience of sixty?

Greyscale Territory: yep, I'm drowning in marking too. But at least with holidays, it's... tolerable :)

J Bar: I know how you feel about those pictures you can't take. I've been seeing these amazing sunsets every evening lately... on my way home, in my rearview mirror, as I drive home eastward...

diane: If there was a bag of gold, I had to give it up for roll call. That's a pretty poor exchange!

  9. A lovely rainbow, goal posts and green, green grass. Wish we had your rain, in SA we are still in a brown dustbowl.
