Just recording for posterity our first Christmas puzzle, before we pack it back up again - see the missing two pieces? :(

Rainy season's come early this year. You can see the rain advancing up the driveway.

Wedding invitations! (For recorded history: the one time my handwriting has actually been legible.)

Monday, 28th March, 2011

This is from our front garden. It really does throw out the most wonderful surprises.

Just looked at my closet this morning and realised all my clothes are the same colour!

One coat done, one coat left to go...

S-t-r-e-t-c-h! Believe me, this kitty knows exactly how gorgeous she is.

The worst thing about going away is that you have to... come back.

My lovely new room in Chiang Mai (ahem). My flatmates moved my things in while I was away. I'm hoping there'll be an "after" shot before long.

Okay, it was a bit of a homey day today, so I was looking around the house for inspiration. This pepper shaker caught the eye.

Popping into my local library the other day, I picked up a magazine on photography. One of the articles suggested just going around your home and choosing different objects for inspiration. The necklace I wore to yesterday's wedding was lying around, and it seemed to fit the bill.

Monday, 13th July, 2009

Coming back after a wonderful weekend at the Hunter, I hit reality with a thud. My study overfloweth.

This might be a tower out of The Lord of the Rings were it not for the fact that it is made out of styrofoam.

Tuesday, 9th June, 2009

Winter is finally settling in... with a vengeance. It was between 10 and 16 degrees today with a decided chill in the air, so I thought a good place to enjoy the garden would be... inside the house.

Wednesday, 13th May, 2009

Yes, I'll admit it... the strangest thing catches my eye sometimes. (Also, sometimes my eye catches the strangest thing.) I was just coming in the door and thought the pattern of the screen door on the front door was a cool shot - kind of like patterned tights :)

Still life with garlic. I really can't explain sometimes why an image just grabs me.

Saturday, 21st February, 2009

According to the "essential" section (evidence of sophistication, for which, see lowercase letters) of the Sydney Morning Herald, all chandeliers should be put away and stored for at least half a century. Or housed in a kennel. Maybe after I finish with this photo-of-the day. Woof.

Not only does this potato appear to have a face, it also has a tooth coming.

Anthropomorphism central.

(Yes, I do know I'm strange!)
